India Extends Nationwide Lockdown

India will introduce a comprehensive economic stimulus plan with a total fund of INR20 trillion (USD267 billion) and extend the nationwide lockdown again, the prime minister Narendra Damodardas Modi said late on May 12India's rescue plan with a total fund of INR1.7 trillion (USD23 billion) announced on March 26 is being implemented. The INR1.7 trillion is included in the INR20 trillion of the plan announced by Modi this time.Modi also announced that India will continue to extend the nationwide lockdown, with specific recuirements to be announced before Mav 18India imposed a nationwide lockdown on March 25, which has been exfended twice and the current deadline is May 17.
